Ray is just incredible.  If you want a meticulously systematic class that leads you from confusion to logic, he’s the guy for you.

This class will help you:

Gain Useful Usable Skills

Find Memorization Easier

See Structure Where before You Saw Chaos

Connect More with Who You Are at the Harp

Have a Great Day of Personal Enrichment with Your Harp

Magic Chord Progressions

Ray will show you how to make some easy, beautiful rippled patterns in different directions and different combinations.   Using these with time-tested chord progressions will give you an easy way to lead into a song, improvise during and after a song, or create a lovely modulation to another song.  Learn the "Telephone Number" chord progression and wow them every time.  (If you can remember your telephone number, you can remember this chord progression!)

Once you've learned these patterns, they will become comfortable friends in your playing style.   The beauty of it is that they sound fancy but are actually not difficult at all!

The Key to Changing Keys

Modulating to a different key in the center of a song can "ramp up the emotional effect" in a very exciting way.  And creating a seamless medley of tunes, modulating to a different key for each song, creates a "transported" feeling that cannot be accomplished by any other method.

Learn the formula for modulation.  With this new skill, you can bring your playing to a more sophisticated level.  It's not as hard as you think---you'll even learn a trick to give yourself plenty of time to move all the levers without panicking!

Instant Harp Ensemble and How to Jam with Other Instruments

Ray will bring melody chimes to add to the sparkle!  Sharing music with others is so much fun, once you're not afraid that you will gum up the works!   Learn the secrets of how to play so that you enhance the melody instrument instead of fighting with it.

You will learn when to use long sounds, short sounds, and silence.   You will learn to stay away from the melody with the top note on the right-hand.  Learn the "Roller Coaster" technique.   Don't just stay at home with your harp -- let your music become a tool for interacting with other musicians as you go through life.

Accompanying Taize – A Dozen Patterns for Immediate Use

This has been a HUGE hit everywhere Ray has taught it.  Taize are beautiful, simple eight-measure chants used in Catholic Mass and other religious events.   You will learn to look at a single, simple song in 12 ways.  Create a dozen gorgeous patterns with ease.  And realize that these same patterns are great to accompany any other songs.  A relaxing way to end the day with Ray!

Come to an amazing day with a seasoned master teacher

who can help make it all easier!
