Today, you will relax and rejuvenate in musical play by experiencing:
•The power of story in instrumental music and how it impacts your playlist. The emotional categories of the Celtic, “3 musics”, will reveal how our own music can be ordered to be more narrative.

•Playful games to enhance 2-Hand coordination

This class is interactive, comfy, involving work on and off the harp. Language, music and movement is expressed with simple, familiar tunes and new music; incorporating all skills into a creative group performance though the process offers students many personal applications. Q&A and discussion time is allowed.
Bring harp, dress comfortably.

*Advanced beginners in Cynthia's classes means at least 1 year experience, and the ability to do:
Simple placings. Two note intervals and triads, blocked and broken. Simple meter and keys. Full range of the harp used.
One octave scales, drone, triad chords. Single- hand or 2- hand similar patterns; simple coordination.
Slow musical themes 8-16 bars long. Familiarity w/ stringcourse names helpful.
Triad, inverted, rolled chords; glissandos. Two-hand contrary motion.
