Cynthia’s inspiring and playful approach combines music and movement.

Today, you will relax and rejuvenate in musical play by experiencing:

  1. The power of story in instrumental music and how it impacts your playlist. The emotional categories of the Celtic, “3 musics”, will reveal how our own music can be ordered to be more narrative.

  2. Getting golden ears: intentional listening & life

  3. Body Percussion: moving musically

  4. Discover rhythm patterns that make music flow & dance

  5. Enharmonic Tuning Recipes: dark & light

  6. Playful games to enhance 2-Hand coordination

  7. Fingering formulas that set improvisation free

  8. Ornaments & special effects that make your music personal

  9. Wanna Play?  Living more musically; keeping inspiration alive.

This class is interactive, comfy, involving work on and off the harp.  Language, music and movement is expressed with simple, familiar tunes and new music; incorporating all skills into a creative group performance though the process offers students many personal applications.  Q&A and discussion time is allowed.
